Get involved

There are many ways to get involved with the SLCG! Whether you're fiercely passionate about local food security or just curious to know what a community garden is all about, there is a place for you here.

Community members looking to volunteer on the farm can earn high school volunteer hours, connect with others, learn more about growing food, and enjoy harvests straight from the garden!

We also run events, workshops and fundraisers throughout the year, where you can help out as a volunteer or participate as a community member.

We invite you to fill out our new volunteer contact form  to tell us more about yourself and your interests.

If you'd just like to join our mailing list for now without filling out the contact form, you can email us at

Membership is slightly different from signing on as a volunteer. As a member, you can attend Annual General Meetings and participate in the governance of the SLCG. Our new membership form can be found on our Documents page. We encourage applicants to read the by-laws document, also found on that page, before submitting an application.

Our community garden couldn't exist without the generosity of our donors, who contribute their time, money, and resources. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact us at
