This was a $69000 project to purchase and erect a 30 ft by 48 ft High Tunnel Greenhouse complete with an off-grid Solar System to power the Greenhouse

P&DCF funded $8959.77 for the purchase of a BCS walk-behind 2 wheel tractor with tiller to be used in the tilling of beds in the garden. This greatly simplified the process of preparing beds for use each year and enabled volunteers to easily take on  the responsibility of operating the machine.

This year CSJ funded 4 students for 8 weeks each to work in the community garden. Salary and benefits package was $18755 with an additional supplement provided by SLCG.

The Carrot Cache of Toronto provide the SLCG with funding in the amount of $2500 for the partial cost of purchasing Rinaldi Power Harrow attachment for the BCS.  This would enable the minimum tillage of the bed surface without disturbing the underlying microorganisms of the soil. The balance fundraised by SLCG.
